Navigating every chapter of life: ambition, hormonal shifts, perimenopause, menopause, grief, burnout or the question of what comes next.
Most women have been taught how to perform.
Very few have been taught how to sustain themselves.
Long before wellness trends and wearable technology, women built systems for recovery.
Heat. Touch. Rest. Ritual. Community.
Cyclebreakers is an exploration of those practices for women who want to support their health with the same intention they bring to their careers.
Every guest leaves with:
✓ A personalized recovery framework
✓ Nervous system regulation tools
✓ Rituals and practices that fit into real life
✓ A community of women navigating similar transitions
✓ A deeper understanding of her hormones and energy patterns
✓ A plan for sustaining ambition without sacrificing health
Instead of squeezing productivity out of exhausted bodies, we focus on the systems beneath ambition: hormones, nervous system regulation, recovery, and longevity.
We combine ancestral wellness practices with modern preventative health thinking inside a property that has spent two decades living exactly this way.
Organic. Sensorial. Female-founded.
Quietly luxurious without performing.
An optional layer for women who want their reset grounded in data.
Work one-on-one with our functional medicine doctor to ground your reset in real data, virtually or in person at her New York office.
Here’s how it works:
You’ll meet with her as a new patient before or after Marrakech. Many guests build in a New York stop on their way to Morocco, do their consult and lab work, then continue on. Others prefer to start after they return home. Both work.
✓ New Patient Intake
✓ Bloodwork Review
✓ Functional Lab Testing
✓ Hormone & Longevity Markers
✓ Personalized Protocol
✓ Follow-Up Consultation
This piece is scheduled around your travel, on your timeline. It can begin before Marrakech or continue after you return home.
*It is available as an add-on, pricing on application.
Jnane Tamsna is not quite a hotel. It is a working farm with rooms, nine acres deep in the palm groves of the Palmeraie, built and tended over two decades by the woman who designed every corner of it.
You wake to birdsong and the smell of the gardens. You eat what was picked at dawn. For five days, the most demanding thing asked of you is to rest.
What waits for you here:
✓ Five private houses, 24 individually designed rooms
✓ Organic gardens and a kitchen that cooks the morning’s harvest
✓ Five pools set among the gardens
✓ On-site daily movement program
✓ Nine acres of grounds to walk and rest
✓ A tennis court beneath the palms
✓ Twenty minutes from the medina, a world away in pace
The kitchen does not work from a fixed menu. It works from the harvest. What is picked in the morning becomes lunch under the olive trees.
For a sabbatical built around the body, food is not a detail. It is part of the medicine.
The estate itself is a partnership between ancestral practice and modern science.
Meryanne Loum-Martin, a Parisian-trained lawyer turned hotelier of Senegalese and West Indian descent, shaped the cultural and diasporic soul of the property and designed every inch of the estate. She first came to Marrakech in the mid-1980s and is widely recognized as a pioneer of the city’s boutique hospitality movement.
Her husband, Dr. Gary Martin, is an ethnobotanist, a scientist who studies how cultures use plants for food, medicine, and ritual, and the founder of the Global Diversity Foundation. He farms the nine acres using permaculture methods.
Ancestral intelligence. Modern science. A living, breathing ecosystem.
Which is, really, the whole idea of Cyclebreakers.
The honest audit.
Where your energy actually goes — and what it's been costing you.
The land as medicine.
Plants, heat, and apothecary ritual. Recovery architecture that predates the lab.
The downshift.
Hammam steam, bodywork, slow movement, ancestral ceremony. Your nervous system finally lets go.
The carry-home.
What you take back — and how to protect it through the loudest weeks of your year.
Hours that belong to no one but you
An expert-led dinner series on mind, body, and being
Hammam rituals, heat, water, and touch — the oldest recovery ritual there is
Somatic movement to ground you each morning
An apothecary hour in the tradition of Moroccan plant medicine
Meals harvested fresh from the estate's gardens, followed by long dinners beneath the olive trees
Cultural immersion through the medinas, palaces, and museum tours
A cooking class led by chefs at the Culinary Art Museum
Optional throughout: one-on-one bodywork sessions.
✓ Four nights at Jnane Tamsna
✓ Private accommodations
✓ Farm-to-table meals from the estate gardens
✓ Expert-led education series
